Many of us face issues like bleeding gums, bad breath, dry mouth and cavities etc and find it difficult. It is necessary that we must give importance to our oral health also to avoid getting these.
Also called as xerostomia, dry mouth is a condition where the glands that would produce saliva get affected, As a result, we would not have enough saliva in our mouth and we would have dry mouth. There are few things that we can do to avoid dry mouth issue in us.
There are several symptoms of dry mouth such as dry sticky feeling in the mouth, difficulty in chewing or swallowing, changed sense of taste, cracked lips, sore throat etc. We could get dry mouth issues due to numerous reasons like stress, ageing, radiotherapy, diabetes etc.

By doing oil pulling:
Swishing oil in the mouth to improve oral health is oil pulling and this is an ancient Ayurvedic based practice. Sesame oil can be used in the mouth for oil pulling and the oil pulling could be done for 3 to 5 minutes.
By sipping on aloe vera juice:
Not many of us would know that aloe vera juice could provide a superb solution for dry mouth issue in us. It must be noted that aloe vera juice has been a part of Ayurvedic medicines for many decades. Point is that the high water content present in aloe vera would make it great for our oral health. Sipping aloe vera juice would keep us hydrated and we would be able to avoid dry mouth issues.
By drinking lemon juice:
Being acidic in nature, lemon would be superb for our oral health. Saliva production would become more and we would not get dry mouth problems in us. It is worth mentioning that we could drink lemon juice every morning.
By eating spicy foods:
Our salivary glands would be stimulated when we eat spicy foods. Persons with dry mouth issues can try spices such as cayenne pepper, fennel seeds, cardamom etc.
By drinking water:
Throughout the day, we must drink lots of water and by this we could avoid dry mouth issues. It is true that when we do not drink water in sufficient amounts s then naturally our mouth would become dry.
