Sometimes, we could get a feeling of fullness in our abdomen or stomach and this is called bloating. Point is that bloating occurs when the organs in the digestive system get stretched.

Various symptoms associated with bloating are abdominal cramps, burping, diarrhoea, constipation, gas etc. If the bloating doesn’t go away, then we must consult a doctor without fail. The doctor would provide us suitable treatment (after conducting blood tests, stool tests etc) for persistent bloating. It would be possible to find out infections, bacterial overgrowth and celiac disease etc by means of these tests.

After consuming dinner, we might feel bloated and this could be due to these important reasons only. So, please take care.

Intake of fatty foods:

It must be taken into note that intake of fatty foods like meat products or hard cheese and even biscuits etc could cause bloating. These fatty foods could lead to delay in digestion as they stay in the stomach for a longer duration.

Intake of dairy products:

Those people who are lactose intolerant would feel bloated after eating dinner with milk, cheese, yoghurt etc. Bodies would not be able to digest lactose properly.

Intake of high fibre foods:

It is good to consume fibre based foods but excess intake of foods like beans, whole grains etc during dinner would lead to bloating in us. So, please be careful.

Consuming carbonated drinks;

We could get bloated, if we drink carbonated drinks like soda etc during dinner as these would introduce excess gas in the digestive system. Please take care and avoid these drinks.

Intake of High sodium foods:

It must be noted that processed foods are rich in sodium and consuming these foods during dinner would make us feel bloated as the body would retain water. Examples of high sodium foods are salty snacks and processed meats etc.

By eating too fast:

Some people would eat very fast and due to that they would swallow more air. This could lead to gas and bloating etc.

Having food sensitivities:

Sometimes, by eating certain vegetables or gluten based foods etc during the dinner, we could experience bloating issues in us.

Stress or being anxious:

It is a known fact that stress or anxiety etc can cause many health issues in us. Point is that when the dinner is consumed in a stressful state then we could get bloated also.
