Gold prices in Chennai have continued their sharp upward trend, creating concern among buyers. After fluctuating over the past few days, gold has once again reached a new peak due to ongoing volatility in the international market.
As per the latest update, the price of 22-carat gold in Chennai has increased by ₹560 per sovereign, taking the price to ₹1,16,960 per sovereign. The per gram rate has risen by ₹70, with gold now selling at ₹14,620 per gram.
Over the last 10 days, gold prices have surged significantly, reflecting strong global market uncertainty and investor demand for safe-haven assets.
Silver prices have also witnessed a sharp rise. The price of silver has increased by ₹10,000 per kg, with silver now trading at ₹3,55,000 per kg, while the per gram rate stands at ₹355.
Market experts indicate that gold and silver prices may continue to remain volatile in the coming days due to international economic conditions.
